With the support of the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Russian Federation, a concert program dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the birth of the great classic of Turkmen literature and thinker of the East Magtymguly Fragi will be held at the Museum and Exhibition Complex of the Russian Academy of Arts. This was reported by the official media of Turkmenistan.
According to the Organizing Committee of the VIII Moscow International Arts Festival “Sounds of Dutar” is named after. Nury Halmamedov, the concert program will be held with the participation of cultural and artistic figures of the Russian Federation and Turkmenistan. The program will feature masterpieces of world classics by N.A. Rimsky-Korsakov, E. di Capua, M. Ravel, D. Ovezov, A. Pakhmutova, N. Halmamedov, Ch. Nurymov, K. Volkov, M. Guseinov. As well as vocal compositions based on poems by Magtymguly, Mollanepes, Khadzhi Kakaliev, Ata Atajanov, Nikolai Dobronravov, Giovanni Capurro, Andrei Dementyev, Charles Baudelaire, Tristan Klingsor, Mikhail Lermontov.
Artist of the Helikon Opera Theater Daria Huseynova will perform the mono-opera “Monologues of Magtymguly Fragi” by composer Mamed Huseynov. A large-scale vocal-instrumental work for soprano, cello, and orchestra (arranged for piano) consists of five parts, which are based on Magtymguly Fraga’s poems “Call”, “Beginnings”, “Sadness”, “Truth”, “Good and Evil”, focusing the poet's philosophical revelations about human life, fate, and spiritual and moral quests.
The dedication concert “The Fount of the Mind of Magtymguly Fraga” will take place in Moscow on April 7 at 16.00.
