Innovation Science and Training Centre trains specialists on environmental protection

The Innovation Science and Training Centre at Yagshygeldi Kakayev International Oil and Gas University is an ideal destination for individuals who aspire to become experts in environmental protection. Our comprehensive training programs equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to tackle the current environmental challenges. Join us today and become a part of the solution for a greener future. Rahat Nepesov, the Director of the center, has shared an informative article in Neutral Turkmenistan.

Training to improve professional skills in the subject of Environmental Safety has been held for the first time in the country. Based on a license starting in 2023, this program will enrich the concept for students and engineering specialists. The Ministry of Education in our country has approved the program, which focuses on training specialists in areas such as the oil and gas complex, geology, the production of petrochemicals, the operation of oil refining facilities, and the production of liquefied natural gas.

Discover everything you need to know about the center by visiting the official website https://iyom.edu.tm/. The website offers detailed information about services, news, facilities, and branches.

The program aims to increase students' knowledge in assessing the level of impact on the natural environment, justifying the introduction of emissions and waste treatment, performing engineering and economic calculations using scientific, information, and regulatory data when solving production issues, and checking design solutions when locating industrial facilities.

To introduce the concepts of pollutants and the possibility of processing emissions from anthropogenic activities and their safe disposal, the Centre's team has compiled a textbook in the Turkmen language titled "Environmental Safety". The book provides instructions for developing project solutions related to the modernization of technological equipment.

The Centre is involved in solving scientific and technical tasks, expanding the use of innovations in production, and promoting new types of scientific and technical cooperation with enterprises of economic sectors. It also participates in the development of regulations on environmental protection and contributes to increasing the interest of young teachers and students of Yagshygeldi Kakayev International Oil and Gas University in science and their motivations.

The introduction of a subject course titled "Fundamentals of Professional Culture of Engineers" will also enrich the concept of ecoculture and improve the qualifications of domestic specialists.

The Centre is concentrated on additional training of young personnel and bringing the projects authored by students and teachers of engineering higher educational establishments to implementation. Following the focus of the state and society on strengthening the role of youth in the economy and social processes in society, the results of common efforts should be the achievement of a higher level of environmental protection.

Turkmenistan prioritizes environmental protection with a developed legal framework for environmental safety, control, efficient use of water resources, land degradation prevention, and biodiversity conservation. The country considers ecological diplomacy a foreign policy priority. Turkmenistan is working to reduce anthropogenic impact on nature and increase scientific and technical potential. The Law “On Environmental Safety” is the basis for these activities. It confirms the principle of the Basic Law of Turkmenistan that everyone has the right to a favorable environment for life and health. Ensuring environmental safety relies on compliance with economic and legal requirements and a high level of ecological culture of society. In higher educational and technical establishments, students must show innovations that increase energy efficiency, economic and environmental advantages, and compatibility with environmental conditions. This determines the nature and quality of human relationships with the natural environment and the future development of Turkmenistan.
