President Serdar Berdimuhamedow Travels to Tatarstan for BRICS Summit
On October 23, President Serdar Berdimuhamedow departed for the Republic of Tatarstan, Russia, to attend the XVI BRICS summit. Accompanied by state officials, the President emphasized Turkmenistan's commitment to a policy of positive neutrality and effective international cooperation. This visit marks his first participation in the BRICS summit, underlining the nation's increasing global standing and its active role in promoting peace and sustainable development.
Turkmenistan and Tatarstan have established strong bilateral ties, focusing on mutual benefits and long-term partnerships. The two regions have recently strengthened cooperation in various sectors, enhancing cultural and economic exchanges.
Upon arrival in Kazan, President Berdimuhamedow was warmly welcomed by Tatarstan's President Rustam Minnikhanov and other officials. The President's agenda includes attending a reception hosted by Russian President Vladimir Putin for the summit delegates.
