Ashgabat welcomed the opening of the «Ashgabat Open 2024» international tennis tournament, dedicated to young players under 14 years old. Participants from 12 countries, including the United Kingdom, India, Iran, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, the UAE, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Turkey, Uzbekistan, and Turkmenistan, gathered at the Tennis Complex within the Olympic Village.

The opening ceremony, attended by an enthusiastic audience, featured the national flags of participating countries. A congratulatory message from President Serdar Berdimuhamedov was read, followed by a stirring rendition of the National Anthem as Turkmenistan’s flag was raised. Officials from Turkmenistan’s Tennis Federation and the International Tennis Federation expressed gratitude for the tournament's high-level organization.

Spectators can look forward to exciting matches and a cultural program, including visits to key sites in Ashgabat.
