Students from secondary schools in Turkmenistan secured four medals at the 65th International Mathematics Olympiad, held in Bath, United Kingdom. Over 600 students from 109 countries participated in the competition.
The Turkmen students earned two silver medals, and two bronze medals, and received honorable mentions. Notably, the silver medals were awarded to Suleyman Kochkarov, an 11th-grade student from Specialized Secondary School No. 24 in Dashoguz, and Malyksha Meylismyradov, a 10th-grade student from Specialized Secondary School No. 86 in Ashgabat.
The bronze medals went to Hamza Allaberdiyev, an 11th-grade student from Specialized Secondary School No. 135 in Ashgabat, and Selim Khalykhov, an 11th-grade student from the Ashgabat Specialized Secondary Boarding School named after Saparmurat Turkmenbashi.
