Ashgabat Participates in Global Seminar on Skills Validation in France

Turkmenistan's Ministry of Education participated in the international seminar on "Improving the System for Recognizing Informal Education and Self-Learned Skills" held in Lyon, France, from November 5-7, 2024. Organized by the European Education Foundation (EEF) and the French AFPA agency, the event aimed to share global experiences and introduce France's system for validating accumulated experience (VAE).

The seminar provided insights into France's methods and encouraged countries to integrate similar changes into their national systems. Turkmenistan is working on improving the recognition of informal education, including the development of national frameworks for professional qualifications and legal reforms in collaboration with the Ministries of Education, Labor, and Social Protection.

Participants also had the opportunity to explore France’s national heritage. This event marked a key step in Turkmenistan’s international collaboration on education and vocational training.
