On October 28, 2025, The Gulf Observer news agency and The Gulf Observer Research Forum, in cooperation with the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Pakistan, held a roundtable discussion dedicated to the “30th Anniversary of Turkmenistan’s Permanent Neutrality in the International Year of Peace and Trust.”
The event was moderated by Muhammad Ali Pasha, a representative of The Gulf Observer. The roundtable was attended by the UN Resident Coordinator in Pakistan Mohamed Yahya, as well as leading researchers, experts, journalists, and media representatives from Pakistan. The speakers highlighted Turkmenistan’s constructive foreign policy aimed at promoting peace, trust, and mutual understanding both regionally and globally.
Participants emphasized that, due to the visionary diplomacy of the National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and the consistent foreign policy of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, Turkmenistan continues to play an active role in fostering dialogue and preventing conflicts.
The Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Pakistan, A. Movlamov, spoke about the achievements of the country over 30 years of its neutrality and the international initiatives planned for 2025.
The event reaffirmed Turkmenistan’s strong commitment to permanent neutrality and its significant contribution to global peace and confidence-building.
