A new complex of the Turkmen State Institute of Architecture and Civil Engineering has opened in Ashgabat, with a capacity of 5,000 students. The new complex significantly expands the capital’s modern educational infrastructure.

President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov attended the opening ceremony, held on Knowledge and Youth Day. The complex was constructed by a member of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan.

The 32.2-hectare complex includes a 13-story main building, eight faculties and 28 departments, as well as a library and assembly hall.

A 2,600-seat student dormitory has been provided, along with two residential buildings of 40 apartments each for teaching staff.

The institute’s new laboratories are equipped with modern international-standard facilities for seismic research, construction, electromechanics and chemical analysis. Among them is a special installation capable of simulating earthquake vibrations and testing the stability of building models.

The new complex has achieved compliance with five international ISO standards. The institute became the first higher education institution in Turkmenistan and the CIS countries to receive certification under all five standards simultaneously.

In addition, the institute has received Certiport Authorized Testing Center status, enabling students and specialists to certify their digital skills in accordance with internationally recognized standards.

The new complex will serve as a modern educational and research base for training architects, civil engineers and other highly qualified specialists.
