A series of major international events will be held in October in Turkmenistan’s Avaza National Tourist Zone. The meetings and forums will focus on a range of issues, including the role of women in promoting peace and sustainable development, demographic trends, healthcare, environmental protection and regional cooperation.

An international women’s dialogue titled “The Role of Women in Maintaining Peace and Achieving Sustainable Development” is scheduled to take place in the Avaza National Tourist Zone. An international conference devoted to current demographic trends, challenges in this field and international experience is also planned.

On October 7, a conference under the auspices of the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly will be held in Avaza. It will focus on ensuring universal access to healthcare services and advancing the Sustainable Development Goals. A ministerial-level meeting of the Caspian littoral states is also scheduled for the same day, with environmental issues concerning the Caspian Sea expected to be discussed.

The programme of international events will also include a consultative meeting of the heads of state of Central Asian countries and the Republic of Azerbaijan. The meeting is scheduled to take place in the Avaza National Tourist Zone on October 8. On October 9, the next meeting of the CIS Council of Heads of State will be held there.

As part of preparations for the international meetings and forums, a number of organizational activities are planned with the participation of representatives of relevant ministries, government institutions and international organizations.

The broad range of topics on the agenda will provide an opportunity to discuss regional cooperation, sustainable development, healthcare, environmental protection and international relations at a single international platform.

The international meetings and forums scheduled for October are expected to further strengthen the role of the Avaza National Tourist Zone as an important venue for international events and high-level meetings.
