The tenth-anniversary International United Cultures Forum will take place in St. Petersburg from September 11 to 14, 2024. The forum aims to bring together representatives of diverse cultures and nationalities to discuss new trends and current issues in the development of the modern cultural environment. A delegation from Turkmenistan, led by Deputy Minister of Culture Nursakhet Shirimov, will be attending the forum. The delegation also includes Sakhysalyk Bayramov, Deputy Chairman of the Oguzhan Turkmenfilm Association, and two educators from the Turkmen National Conservatory named after Mai Kuliyeva.
The forum will feature government leaders from different countries, leading experts, and world-renowned cultural figures. They will conduct multilateral discussions on the prospects of international cultural cooperation. The main theme of the forum is "Culture of the XXI Century: Sovereignty or Globalism?" Its business program includes ten thematic areas: "How Art Helps Peoples Defend the Right to History," "Artificial Intelligence in Culture and National Sovereignty," "Cultural Heritage: Traditions and Modernity," "Business Culture," "Media Culture," "Cinema," "Theater," "Musical Culture," "Circus," and "Museums."
The business program will include panel discussions and round tables on cultural policy and the development of international cooperation. Guests and participants will have the opportunity to visit new exhibitions, theater premieres, and concerts by renowned performers.
Educators from the Turkmen National Conservatory will showcase Turkmen musical and vocal arts at the St. Petersburg International United Cultures Forum. Filmmaker S. Bayramov will participate as a speaker in the "Cinema" thematic session, where he will discuss various formats of cooperation with filmmakers from the CIS, including a joint Turkmen-Uzbek project to create a feature film about the life and work of the outstanding classical poet and thinker Magtymguly Fragi.
