On July 18, 2025, a delegation from Turkmenistan, led by the country’s Ambassador to the Russian Federation E. Aydogdyev, took part in the 106th session of the Economic Council of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), held in Moscow. This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
The meeting addressed a broad array of topics related to economic collaboration among CIS member countries. Discussions included draft agreements focused on regional energy security, the peaceful use of nuclear energy, pricing practices in construction, forestry, and the forest industry, among others.
Additionally, participants reviewed the progress made in 2024 regarding the implementation of the first phase (2021–2025) of the CIS Economic Development Strategy, which outlines goals up to the year 2030.
The next Economic Council meeting is scheduled to take place on September 5, 2025, in Dushanbe.
