The state visit of the President of Turkmenistan to the Republic of Kazakhstan has begun

Today, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov of Turkmenistan arrived in the Republic of Kazakhstan on a state visit. It is noteworthy that the Head of State also paid a state visit to this friendly country in October 2022. This was reported by Turkmenistan: Golden Age.

A welcoming ceremony was held at the Nursultan Nazarbayev International Airport in Astana. The national flags of Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan were raised, and an Honor Guard lined up. The high-ranking Turkmen guest was greeted by Kazakh officials and members of the Turkmen government delegation.

According to the visit program, high-level Turkmen-Kazakh talks are scheduled for tomorrow. Following the negotiations, several bilateral documents are expected to be signed.

It should be mentioned that diplomatic relations between Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan marked their 33rd anniversary this October. Over these years, cooperation between the two countries has been successfully strengthened in various fields. Political dialogue is actively maintained at the highest level, and both countries support each other’s initiatives within the UN and other international organizations.

This visit is the President’s third trip to the brotherly country this year. Earlier, he participated in the “Central Asia – Italy” and “Central Asia – China” summits held in Astana in May–June. The current state visit is expected to give a new impetus to the multifaceted strategic partnership.
