Representatives from Turkmenistan's State Statistics Committee participated in a meeting in Geneva about child statistics in early March. The United Nations Economic Commission for Europe and the United Nations Children's Fund arranged the meeting.
Workers from the State Statistics Committee and a UNICEF expert joined a meeting for National Statistical Offices in Europe and Central Asia. The goal of this event was to make sure that information about children is easy to access and use, following the rules in the Convention on the Rights of the Child and the Sustainable Development Agenda for the next 10 years.
The people also talked about how to watch over children's rights in Europe and Central Asia, using the rules of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.
