Opening ceremony of Society International University of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs

An opening ceremony for the International University of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs was held in Ashgabat. The event was attended by the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, as reported by the official media.

The new university, built by the private company Nur Bina Gurluşyk, features a 9-storey main building, four academic buildings, two dormitories with 300 places each, a conference hall, a library, a cafeteria, and both indoor and outdoor sports facilities.

Education will be organized at bachelor’s and master’s levels in Turkmen and English. The curriculum combines theory and practice, providing students with knowledge of modern business practices, entrepreneurship law and fundamentals, and essential skills for the digital era.

The university will have 6 faculties, 14 departments, and 42 laboratories, including faculties of economics, digital technologies, architecture and construction, agro-industrial studies, foreign languages, and a professional development center.

On June 27, 2025, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed a decree to establish the International University of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs. As the country’s first private higher education institution, it represents an important step toward strengthening the private sector’s export potential, advancing the economy, and supporting digitalization.
