Diller Dünýäsi Hosts Malaysian Academic Delegation

Malaysian Universities Deepen Engagement with Turkmen Youth

Ashgabat — Participation of Malaysian universities in Turkmen Travel 2026 has evolved beyond a traditional exhibition format, turning into a meaningful platform for direct engagement with Turkmen students and young professionals.

This year, Malaysia’s academic presence stood out with a unified pavilion showcasing study opportunities, international programs, and career pathways. Representatives from institutions such as Swinburne University of Technology Sarawak Campus, Taylor’s University, INTI International University & Colleges, Asia Pacific University of Technology & Innovation and others engaged directly with prospective students, answering questions about admissions, scholarships, and student life in Malaysia.

Beyond the exhibition halls, the delegation extended its outreach through a visit to the “Diller Dünýäsi” Language Center, where members of the Bahasa Club gathered with school and university students for an open dialogue. Unlike formal presentations, the session focused on personal stories, real experiences, and practical advice—making it particularly impactful for attendees.

For Dylan Chen Teck Ong, Executive in Student Recruitment at Swinburne University of Technology Sarawak Campus, the visit carried special meaning, as it marked his second trip to Ashgabat:

“It is my second time in Ashgabat, and I can clearly see growing interest among young people in international education. What stands out most is their curiosity and determination. Engagements like this—both at Turkmen Travel 2026 and at Bahasa Club—allow us to build real connections and better understand students’ ambitions.”

Participants of the meeting highlighted that such interactions help bridge the gap between aspiration and opportunity. Students were able not only to learn about Malaysian universities but also to gain confidence in pursuing education abroad.

The visit reflects a broader trend: international universities are increasingly seeking direct, meaningful contact with students in emerging education markets. In this context, initiatives like Bahasa Club are playing a key role by creating spaces where language learning, cultural exchange, and academic opportunities intersect.

As Malaysia continues to position itself as a regional education hub, its engagement with Turkmenistan signals a growing partnership built on shared interest in knowledge, mobility, and global cooperation.
