President Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed a Decree on the occasion of the approaching Gadyr gijesi (Night of Omnipotence) on the pardon of 356 citizens of Turkmenistan who were convicted of crimes committed, but regret what they did and sincerely repent of it.

Guided by the principles of mercy and humanism bequeathed to us by our great ancestors, in order to further strengthen the unity and cohesion of Turkmen society and every family, as well as on the occasion of the sacred Gadyr gijesi, the head of state signed the corresponding Decree today during a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, the information program “Watan” of the Turkmen television.
