On March 12, 2024, there was a special event at the Turkmenistan Embassy in Tehran to celebrate the 300th birthday of Magtymguly Fragi, a famous Turkmen poet and thinker. The event was organized with help from the Institute of Culture of the Economic Cooperation Organization. This was reported by MFA of Turkmenistan.

The event from the Iranian side was attended by employees of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance, representatives of the scientific intelligentsia, such prominent figures as the vice-president of the Iranian Association of Cultural Artifacts and Monuments Dr. Alireza Habibi, researchers of Magtymguly Fragi’s creativity Dr. Nasser Koli Sarli (University Kharazmi).

The event participants learned about the Government of Turkmenistan's efforts to study and preserve the work of the Turkmen writer. This year in Turkmenistan is dedicated to celebrating the mind and work of Magtymguly Fragi. There will be events in Turkmenistan and in other countries in 2024. At the cultural event, well-known Iranian scientists read the poems of the famous Turkmen poet Magtymguly Fragi, and talked about his work in depth. During the meeting, the people talked about working together on cultural and humanitarian projects between the Embassy and the ECO Institute of Culture. The parties were happy with how much they are working together in international groups, and they see more chances to work together in the future.
