In February and March 2025, Turkmenistan will host a series of international academic competitions and an educational-methodological conference, strengthening its role in global scientific collaboration. The announcement was made by Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers B. Orazdurdiyeva during a recent Cabinet meeting.
These events are being organized as part of Turkmenistan’s Concept of Activities and Priorities for the International Year of Peace and Trust and will commemorate the 30th anniversary of the country’s permanent neutrality and the 33rd anniversary of its UN membership.
On February 28, the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan will host the international educational-methodological conference “Dil – hoşniýetli gatnaşyklaryň möhüm serişdesi” ("Language – an Important Tool for Friendly Relations").
The IV Open International Online Olympiad in Theoretical Mechanics will take place at the State Energy Institute of Turkmenistan from March 10 to 15, followed by the IV Open International Online Olympiad in Strength of Materials at the Turkmen State Institute of Architecture and Construction on March 18.
The competitions and conference will attract students, faculty members, and scientists from Turkmenistan and various prestigious universities across Russia, the USA, China, South Korea, the UAE, Austria, Germany, Romania, Turkey, Belarus, Malaysia, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and other countries.
These initiatives aim to enhance international scientific cooperation, foster university partnerships, and nurture young talent. After reviewing the proposals, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov highlighted the importance of investing in youth and expanding global academic collaboration. He approved the initiative and instructed relevant authorities to ensure proper preparations.
