Turkmen Programmer Wins Grand Prize at U.S. Hackathon

One of the leading young talents of Turkmenistan in the digital world, Merdan Durdyyev, has achieved another international success. At the Agent Development Kit Hackathon held in the United States with over 10,000 programmers participating worldwide, the project SalesShortcut, developed by Merdan Durdyyev and his colleague Sergazy Nurbavliyev, was awarded the Grand Prize.

Along with this victory, the team received:

  • A $15,000 cash prize

  • $3,000 worth of Google Cloud credits

  • 1-year Premium membership in the Google Developer Program

  • A virtual meeting with a Google engineer

  • Promotion on public platforms by Google and Devpost

The award-winning project, SalesShortcut, simplifies tasks related to cold outreach using an automated multi-agent system. This platform:

  • Finds and assesses potential clients via Google Maps

  • Analyzes clients using more than 20 specialized agent searches

  • Creates personalized offers in seconds

  • Uses AI voice technology from ElevenLabs to speak with clients and follows up via email

  • Displays and tracks the entire process in a real-time dashboard

The project succeeded by effectively integrating a wide range of Google’s ecosystem tools into a unified system — including Vertex AI, BigQuery, Cloud Run microservices, Gmail, Calendar, and Pub/Sub.

Beyond winning the competition, Merdan Durdyyev also gained valuable new insights. Their system successfully implemented:

  • Coordinated agent collaboration

  • Clean communication protocols between microservices (A2A)

  • Effective human-in-the-loop integration for bot-human cooperation

Currently, they are working on a new startup called SnapSites (snapsites.ai), aiming to provide automated solutions for emerging companies.

The organizers — Google Cloud and Devpost — praised SalesShortcut as an “innovative solution shaping the future of autonomous agent systems.” This achievement is not only a personal triumph but also a clear demonstration that Turkmen youth can shine on the global stage.
