On December 6, 2025, a ceremony was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan to present the anniversary medal “30th Anniversary of Turkmenistan’s Neutrality” to employees of the country’s diplomatic service. The information was reported on the MFA’s official website.
Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Minister of Foreign Affairs Rashid Meredov addressed the participants, highlighting the major international events held in Turkmenistan in honor of the 30th anniversary of Permanent Neutrality. Rashid Meredov especially emphasized the importance of the international forum scheduled to take place in Ashgabat on December 12.
Meredov noted that Turkmenistan’s policy of Permanent Neutrality has gained broad international recognition thanks to the consistent and purposeful diplomatic efforts of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, and President Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
Rashid Meredov also underlined that the country’s diplomatic service continues to face important tasks aimed at strengthening Turkmenistan’s international standing, expanding foreign policy dialogue, and promoting initiatives focused on global peace and development.
During the ceremony, the Minister read the Presidential Decree on awarding the anniversary medal and presented the state awards and commemorative badges to MFA employees. Diplomats who made significant contributions to strengthening Turkmenistan’s Independence, its Neutrality status, and international reputation were honored with high state awards.
