On October 10, the Palace of Nations, known as “Kasri Millat” in Dushanbe, hosted the regular meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS). This was reported by Turkmenistan: Golden Age.

The summit, chaired by President Emomali Rahmon of Tajikistan, brought together the heads of state and government of CIS member countries, as well as the CIS Secretary General. Twenty issues were discussed during the meeting, focusing on global and regional security, as well as expanding cooperation in political, economic, and humanitarian spheres.

In his address, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized that the CIS has proven itself as a format of mutual respect and equal cooperation, fostering constructive dialogue in various areas.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov proposed measures to enhance economic growth, develop transport corridors in the Caspian region, strengthen trade and industrial cooperation, and promote cultural and scientific exchange. At the end of his speech, the President invited the participants to attend the International Peace and Trust Forum, to be held in Ashgabat on December 12, marking the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s permanent neutrality.
