During his working visit to Dushanbe, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov of Turkmenistan held talks with President Emomali Rahmon of Tajikistan. This was reported by Turkmenistan: Golden Age.
The Tajik Leader warmly welcomed the Turkmen guest and emphasized that the visit would further strengthen the traditional relations of friendship and cooperation between the two countries.
President Berdimuhamedov expressed gratitude for the hospitality and conveyed the kind greetings of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty, Hero-Arkadag Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. Both sides noted that Turkmenistan and Tajikistan share similar views on key global and regional political issues and successfully cooperate within international organizations, particularly the UN.
They also highlighted the importance of expanding cooperation in trade, economy, culture, and education.
At the end of the meeting, the two Presidents reaffirmed their commitment to further developing and deepening friendly relations between Turkmenistan and Tajikistan.
