Medical treatment was provided to children in need

In the four years since its founding, the Charitable Foundation named after Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has supported over 500 children with serious health conditions, enabling them to undergo complex surgeries. This equates to an average of 12 children receiving life-changing medical care each month, as reported by the “Watan” news program.

In May 2025, young children from the Dashoguz region who needed rehabilitation treatment received inpatient care at the Maternal and Child Health Center in the city of Arkadag. Rehabilitation treatments also began for young children from the Lebap region. Local specialists successfully performed orthopedic, neurosurgical, ophthalmologic, and cardiac surgeries on children suffering from musculoskeletal disorders, nervous system diseases, and eye conditions at various healthcare institutions, including the Scientific-Clinical Center for Maternal and Child Health, the Multidisciplinary Hospital in Arkadag, the Maternal and Child Health Center in Arkadag, the International Cardiology Center under the Directorate of International Health Centers, and medical centers in the country’s regions.

At the Scientific-Clinical Center for Maternal and Child Health, a 1-month-old infant from the Balkan region suffering from a central nervous system disorder underwent a successful neurosurgical operation performed by local doctors. A 12-year-old child from Ashgabat and a 2-year-old child, also from the capital, suffering from musculoskeletal system disorders, underwent successful orthopedic and surgical treatments at the Multidisciplinary Hospital in Arkadag. A 4-year-old child from Ashgabat suffering from an eye condition underwent successful ophthalmologic surgery at the same hospital. A 14-year-old child from Mary region with a musculoskeletal disorder received successful orthopedic and surgical treatment at the Maternal and Child Health Center in Arkadag.
