Exploring Nature Through Play: Children Engage in Eco Activities

In a joint initiative, the Environmental Movement of Turkmenistan and the Trade Union Council of Employees of the Oil and Gas Sector of Turkmenistan organized a cultural event titled "Joyful Childhood" at the “Nebitchi” children's summer recreation and health center in Gökdere.

The event aimed to enrich children’s emotional and creative development during the summer holidays, nurture their love for nature, and cultivate their cognitive abilities.

Children were divided into teams and competed in various games designed to improve memory, attention, and creativity, all while learning more about nature. Activities included memory games using colorful balls, exploring models of animals, and crafting paper flowers. These hands-on activities helped children express their appreciation for the beauty of the natural world through creativity.

A musical performance by the cultural department of the Environmental Movement added a lively and festive spirit to the event. At the end of the competitions, the children's team from the “Çeşme” summer center was declared the winner and received commemorative gifts.

Beyond celebrating summer fun, the event also encouraged teamwork, friendship, and artistic expression, while deepening children's understanding and respect for nature.

The Environmental Movement of Turkmenistan is a public organization dedicated to protecting the country’s natural resources, maintaining ecological cleanliness, and raising environmental awareness among the population. The organization actively promotes environmental education through awareness campaigns, youth engagement, and various projects and events focused on ecological issues.
