Award ceremony for the Gulbaba Children’s Prize was held in Ashgabat

On January 6, 2026, the award ceremony for the Gulbaba Children’s Prize was held at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Ashgabat. The prize honors gifted children under 18 who have achieved success in academic Olympiads, creative competitions, and sports events.

Organized by the Central Council of the Magtymguly Youth Organization of Turkmenistan together with the Ministry of Education, the competition annually brings together hundreds of talented children from across the country. This year, 99 individual participants and four creative groups were awarded diplomas and commemorative gifts.

Traditionally held during the winter holidays, the ceremony coincided with New Year celebrations and events dedicated to the 2026 motto, bringing joy and inspiration to young participants. The competition helps identify new talents in arts, science, and sports, many of whom go on to represent the country at national and international levels.
