A children’s football festival was held at the Sports School ground located in the Babarap rural council of the Gokdepe district, Ahal region. Bringing together dozens of young athletes, the sports event was organized by the Football Federation of Turkmenistan in cooperation with the administration of the Sports School. This was reported by the Turkmenistan News Portal.

The festival program was active and rich in content. Within its framework, young footballers took part in training sessions and game-based lessons. Coaches paid special attention to developing ball control, responsiveness, coordination of movements, and teamwork skills. The format of the event enabled children not only to demonstrate their abilities but also to receive valuable advice from specialists.

At the end of the festival, a ceremonial award presentation was held. All participating children were presented with footballs by the Football Federation of Turkmenistan.

Such events have already become a positive tradition. Previously, football festivals were successfully held at specialized sports schools in the capital, at the Ashgabat City Main Department of Physical Culture and Sports, at the “Olimp” Sports School, and at the “Kopetdag” Multidisciplinary Sports Complex of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Turkmenistan.

The organizers note that events of this kind play an important role in promoting mass sports and help identify talented players at an early stage who may in the future strengthen the ranks of national teams.
