Best performers from Turkmenistan at international sports competitions were awarded state prizes at the special event held at the Martial Arts Sports Complex of Olympic Village in Ashgabat.

National paralympic athletes Muhammet Hojayev, Roza Matyakubova, Ishkuvvat Chariyev, and Bayramgeldi Saparov, were among the awardees.

These para powerlifters participated in the Para Powerlifting World Cup in Dubai (United Arab Emirates) between the 25th of February and the 8th of March this year and showed remarkable achievements. 

Para powerlifting is a Paralympic sport for persons with musculoskeletal disabilities. During the exercise, the athlete demonstrates upper body strength.
