The National Strategy ensures social protection of mothers and children

Tazegul Saryeva, Director of the Educational and Scientific Center for Maternal and Child Health at the State Medical University named after Myrat Garryev, emphasized implementing Turkmenistan's National Strategy for Maternal and Child Health (2021-2025) in her article on "Turkmen Metbugat." This strategy, "Healthy Mother - Healthy Growth - Healthy Future," was approved by the President.

Turkmenistan's National Strategy for the Protection of Maternal and Child Health is being implemented today and approved by the President of Turkmenistan. The protection of maternal and child health has achieved visible results, with almost all maternity institutions in the country having the high status of "Baby Friendly Hospital". The birth rate is growing, and natural population growth and average life expectancy in Turkmenistan are increasing every year. The Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Care named after Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov plays an active role in addressing issues of public health in the field of motherhood and childhood. Caring for the health of mothers and children is a priority of the ongoing state policy. The main goal of the National Strategy is to protect the health and ensure social protection of mothers and children while promoting an active lifestyle.
