The Ukraine Business Review newspaper wrote an article called "Anau City - the Birthplace of Ancient Turkmen Culture" with help from the Turkmenistan Embassy in Ukraine on March 18th. The article talks about how important the cultural and historical heritage of Anau City is. It has been around for over seven thousand years. The information comes from the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Ukraine.
We are focusing on the Seyit Jamal ad-Din Mosque, which was built in the 15th century. We are also studying the old homes and objects found in Anau. In 2024, Anau was named the Cultural Capital of the Turkic World by the International Organization of Turkic Culture (TURKSOY). This year, Turkmenistan and TURKSOY have organized many events to make the ancient city of Anau more culturally important.
Also, the Turkmenistan Embassy in Ukraine and the Magtymguly Pyragy Library in Kyiv worked together to have a special event where people read poems to celebrate World Poetry Day on March 21 and the 300th birthday of Magtymguly Pyragy, a famous poet from Turkmenistan.
