The IV Open International Student Mathematical Olympiad was held in Ashgabat, and it was such a fantastic event! Students from different countries, including Russia, Bulgaria, Spain, China, Indonesia, Saudi Arabia, and Uzbekistan, participated in the competition. The students demonstrated impressive knowledge, innovative thinking, and perseverance in achieving excellent results. It was a real celebration of knowledge and creativity, and the level of preparation of the students was exceptional.
The participants competed in two categories, which determined the status of the “queen of sciences” as a core discipline and a subject that was not the area of their university specialization. The Turkmen students won the majority of medals, including 24 gold, 56 silver, and 111 bronze.
The ceremony of awarding the medals was a solemn and joyful event that celebrated the participants' achievements. The event was also an excellent opportunity for the participants to expand humanitarian relations and strengthen friendly ties between their countries.
We would like to extend our deepest gratitude to the organizers of the Olympiad for their impeccable organization and hospitality. The event was an excellent opportunity to promote cross-cultural understanding and friendship among the participating countries. We hope that events like this will continue to foster goodwill and camaraderie among students worldwide.
