The delegation from Turkmenistan, led by the Minister of Finance and Economy Serdar Jorayev, is participating in the 27th St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF-2024), which began on June 5th in the northern capital of Russia. This year's forum theme is "The basis of a multipolar world is the formation of new growth points." The forum provides a platform for high-level discussions, scaling ideas, solutions, and initiatives across all areas of public life and the activities of the participating states.
SPIEF 2024's business program consists of 4 thematic tracks: "Transition to a multipolar model of the world economy," "Russian economy: goals and objectives of the new cycle," "Technologies that provide leadership," and "Healthy society, traditional values, and social development - state priorities." The program includes over 150 thematic sessions with over 1000 moderators and speakers.
The business program of SPIEF 2024 focuses on topics related to population preservation, health promotion, improving well-being, supporting families, and creating opportunities for individual potential development, talent nurturing, and patriotic and socially responsible individuals. Additionally, on June 8, SPIEF 2024 will host an international youth economic forum with a motto of "Future Day," featuring practice-oriented lectures, master classes, and expert sessions relevant to young people.
The forum aims to develop business ties and expand contacts with trading partners from the CIS countries, the Arab world, India, China, the EAEU-ASEAN, and Latin America. The Turkmen delegation will participate in the plenary meeting on June 7, 2024, and hold bilateral meetings and negotiations with foreign partners during the forum.
