New edition of the Red Data Book of Turkmenistan was published

Under the leadership of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, Turkmenistan has seen many uplifting events, enhancing the pride of its citizens in their country. One such event was the release of the 4th edition of the Red Data Book of Turkmenistan, which coincided with World Environment Day on June 5. This book plays a vital role in safeguarding Turkmenistan's unique natural environment and in conducting essential scientific research on natural resources.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov shared a message expressing the deep connection between the Turkmen and their love for nature. He also highlighted the significant efforts to protect and preserve the country's diverse flora and fauna. The Red Data Book of Turkmenistan records the status of plant and animal species, serving as an official reference for the country's biodiversity.

The preparation of this edition involved a collaborative effort, with experts from various ministries contributing valuable insights and data. The book includes information about species that are globally threatened, endangered, and at risk, providing valuable details on their habitats, populations, and conservation recommendations. The publication of the 4th edition represents Turkmenistan's ongoing commitment to preserving its rich natural heritage.
