According to the legend this event took place in the second half of the XIX century. Hojamuhammet shepherd from Onbegi village of Kaka region grazed animals around the Peshdak (Abiwerd). One day in one of the spring days in one of the hills near the fortress he made a stop. Herding the livestock to the ravine he wanted to sleep on the hill. Once the shepherd went to sleep he saw one elder in white in his dream. The shepherd heard the old man’s voice very clearly. He was saying ” You, son, do not sleep on top of me like that and wake up! If you can, remove the ground above me!” It is said that the shepherd saw this dream three times one after another. He came to the village and told his adventure to his relatives. His relatives coming together dug the hill very carefully. And really, there was found very special tomb stone with elegant pattern similar to chest under that dug hill. After that the people from Peshtagly built dome on top of this tomb. The name of the cemetery was named Sandyklybaba(the elder with the chest). Also the villagers call it “the tomb of SeyitMireg”. There is no doubt that expert master had trimmed the stone and made a masterpiece of it. Because this splendor is one of the rare beautiful examples done in those times. The shape of flowerpot with bouquet on the tomb created to the honor of one of the most respected men in middle age Abiwerd, Arabic writing in one chain with patterns of plants astonish the one who see them.   Famous orientalist, historian scientist A.A.Semyonov read those inscriptions in 1927 and translated them into Russian. Reading these inscriptions Iranian scientist, doctorGulamhuseynGulamhuseyinzade compared them with the translation of Russian scientist A.A.Semyonov. From the gathered information of two scientists’ comes out the following result. In the upper part shaped with flowerpot with bunch of flowers there were poems written in Persian language devoted to the dead friend of the poet named Ismet. There were written verses in Arabian language to the both sides of the stone onto the tomb. Those verses explained the temporary life, that people live their lives in order to be examined; the dead person under that tomb once was the great man, and hoping him to be up in the heaven. The name of the person buried there still remains to be unanimous. Even though, the precise date of death of this highly respected person whose honor had been kept for centuries had been written.“10^th of jumadelossani, 924” (24^th of June 1517-1518). There is a sense that this date matches the time of existence of famous master Soltan Ali Bawertli. Nowadays theSandykly Baba mausoleum of Abiwerd fortress has been become the most visited place by pilgrims, travelers.
